In other news,
Motor Trend
once again shows GM favoritism.

Yeah, I’d rather get the Lexus or Range Rover. At least they have off-road cred.

They also gave the Colorado Truck of the Year before it was even released. Now that the new has wore off, I think they jumped the gun a bit.

I’m picking up a lease on a Cadillac ATS coupe this weekend. Cadillac wins all.

Yeah because when I want a plush luxoliner for cruising around the shore, I want third world country off road cred....

Right. So much GM favoritism, in fact, that the entire Volkswagen Golf lineup won Car of the Year for 2015 - to say nothing of the fact that no domestic offering, GM or otherwise, has won their SUV of the year award in over ten years. But, yeah, all that favoritism sure is blatant. GM should be more like BMW, because BMW just gets so much less unwarranted fanboyism from the car mags.

I love the Ms, The 911s, all the supercars, and the 4C...but...
The first non-shitty car I get will likely be a caddy. Yep. Supercharged V for the win.

For sure on that BMW hate. For once, I’d like someone to say nice things about BMW. Maybe Car & Driver.

They gave the Colorado TOTY before it was even released. They’ve stated that the Z28 is a better buy than a GT3 or a GTR, though you can’t really drive it in the rain or below a certain temps because of the tires. Maybe they didn’t before, but in the past year they’ve went on a GM blitzkrieg.

Leave the vendetta at the door why don’t ya?

I keep my cars a long time, I’d hate to buy an Escalade and then see every two-bit drug dealer with a similar one in five years.
I’ll take the Range Rover with extended warranty. The Infiniti and Lexus are ugly, stale, and dated.
Ultimately I prefer the X5, but if it has to be full size, I'd be happy with a Yukon Denali.

Holy shit you couldn’t be more insufferable. Sorry, but I’m not worried about speaking our anymore.
Third world? Japan isn’t a third world country, and neither is Britain. No, Cadillac isn’t special just because you like them. There are better cars out there, accept that.

Lol when I say third world I mean all the developing African and South American countries where the Range Rover and Land Cruiser proved their mettle decades ago. I know better than anyone here a Cadillac isn’t the best car out there, I used to be a Cadillac mechanic. I’ve seen some stupid fucking problems with them. Their quality and driving dynamics aren’t why I like them at all, I like them because, much like myself, they have a brash, give no fucks attitude. You can say whatever you want, it won’t mean I’ll like ‘em any less.
Some people out there like Cadillacs, accept that.

Yes, Dubai is definitely the third world. Nothing rich about that country.

You do realize the Land Cruiser is one of the most common vehicles in Dubai, right? Third World =/= One of the richest places in the world. It’s funny you would bring that up in a fight for Cadillacs.

....ok doesn't change the fact that it made its name in South America and Africa. I'm not even remotely using that as an insult, I'm just saying that's how those SUVs became legendary. If you took that as an insult.....that's on you, man. Not me.

There’s no point in arguing with either of them. One’s probably the most anti-GM people on this site and you’re not gonna get anywhere with him. I understand the need to defend GM and Cadillac at times but he’s not one you’re gonna make any progress with. I’ve learned this the hard way having multiple 250+ comment arguments about this with him. Time to just move on from him.

Lol I ain't even trying to change opinions/defend companies. Just clearing up what I meant.

To this particular comment yes, I was talking more in general for almost any time you or someone else posts about Cadillac and they come here with their vendetta against the marque for whatever reason and post inflammatory stuff. Always an argument that gets nowhere. Oh well, what can we do.
